The premiere took place in 21 November 2018.

Parasomnias are motor and behavioral phenomena that arise during sleep.

This production by composer Dmitri Kourliandski and artist Vera Martynov unfolds in the territory of memory. The actors' reconstructed personal memories define their movements and behavior. These memories exist on stage simultaneously, in parallel, non-intersecting spaces.

The genre has all the signs of a musical: numbers, musical-dramatic episodes, and choreography, but that's not what it is. It uses experimental electronics similar to club culture, and songs that, following Lvovsky’s expressive texts, bear direct and indirect allusions to the Soviet song tradition. These songs emerge as something akin to dreams, revealing the space of collective memory, the memory of the Soviet past.

This project is a reflection on the unified space of memory, where distant or intimate, yours or someone else's, dreams are woven into a single pattern. The territory of the personal and the intimate, confronted with an aggressive environment, forms a dialectical picture of being.
