Publishing Program
The Theatre and its Diary, the publishing wing of the Stanislavsky Electrotheatre, has the goal of creating a broad cultural world within the Theatre. It establishes a system of ‘viewing platforms’ that illuminates various aspects of each of the theatre's productions from various angles. The series includes diaries written by directors, sketches made by artists, production photographs, videos and specialist tours. At the core of the series stand Boris Yukhananov's books, which are written in the style of novelistic diaries. The name The Theatre and its Diary is paraphrased from The Theatre and its Double, Antonin Artaud’s famous collection of essays about theatre, originally published in 1938 and still influential today.
