The Development of Contemporary Theatre in Mexico: The Struggle of Creativity and Reality Meeting with Mexican theatre director and producer Aurora Cano
Aurora Cano studied at the Center for Theatre Art in Mexico, at the Method Studio in London, and Madingley Hall in Cambridge.
She has directed at Teatro de Babel in Mexico; has translated and adapted numerous texts for theatre; and organized the International DramaFest Festival of Drama.
In 2009, she created the DramaFest en Movimiento project, which made it possible for more than 20 productions to tour the country. She is a member of the Lark program (New York).
Winner of the Fringe First prize at the Edinburgh International Theater Festival for Las chicas del 3.5 floppies de LEGOM, directed by John Tiffany (U.K.).
She teaches at the Bande à part school of cinema (Barcelona).
Alyona Yankelevich is a producer, and a teacher at the Moscow Art Theatre School. She graduated from the producing department of RATI-GITIS, and the School of Theatre Leaders at the Department of Culture of Moscow and the Meyerhold Center.
