Maria Tregubova
Graduated from the 1905 Moscow Art Academy, and the design department of the Russian Academy of theatre Arts GITIS-RATI (Dmitry Krymov workshop). She was a co-founder and chief artist of the Dmitry Krymov Laboratory. She has taught in the directing department of GITIS-RATI. She has designed for the Bolshoi theatre, the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre, the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theatre, the Alexandrinsky Theatre, the Theatre of Nations, the Pyotr Fomenko Workshop Theatre, the Contemporary Play School, the National Theatres of Dusseldorf, Budapest, Mannheim, Karlsruhe, and elsewhere.
She has collaborated with Andrei Moguchy, Dmitry Krymov, Adolf Shapiro, Attilla Vidnyansky, Iosif Raikhelgauz, Valery Fokin, Maxim Didenko, Viktor Ryzhakov, and others.
She has received the Golden Mask National Theatre Award, the Breakthrough award; the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper Prize, the Cherry Forest prize, and the Grand Prix for the creation of the Russian pavilion at the Prague Quadrennial in 2007 (with the Krymov Laboratory).
