Author of six collections of poetry, and one collection of short stories. His play Six Pieces, written with Linor Goralik, was staged at Teatr.doc. Quiet Songs of War, a project-album based on Lvovsky's poetry, was created with Vladimir Nikolaev, Vladimir Rannev, Alexander Manotskov, Alexei Sysoev, Dmitri Kourliandski and Vladimir Gorlinsky. Lvovsky is the author of several articles on the theory and history of culture. He is a laureate of the Moscow Account award (2003); was shortlisted for the Difference (2012) and Andrei Bely (2005, 2009, 2012) awards.
Winner of the 2017 Andrei Bely Prize for his book Poems from a Book and Other Poems (2017). His poetry has been translated into English, French, Chinese, Italian, Polish and other languages.
