Leonid Zverintsev
Leonid Zverintsev graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre school in 1962 in the class of Georgy Gerasimov and Alexander Karev, and immediately joined the company of the Stanislavsky Drama Theatre. His first work there was to replace other actors in productions of Seven Against Thebes and The First Day of Freedom. One of his best-known replacement roles was as Nikolka in Mikhail Yanshim's famous 1954 production of The Days of the Turbins.
Other notable roles have included those of Willy (Robin Hood), File (The Rainmaker), and Bakin (Talents and Admirers).
Zverintsev has often conducted readings of the poetry of Alexander Pushkin, Mikhail Lermontov, Fyodor Tyutchev, Sergei Yesenin, Alexander Blok and others.
