Andrei Kaplanov
Andrei Kaplanov graduated in 2001 from the Music College of the Moscow State Institute of Music with a specialty in Choral Conducting.
In 2006 he graduated from the Moscow Conservatory, and in 2009 he completed his graduate studies.
He taught conducting and choral classes at the Moscow State Pedagogical University from 2006 to 2010. He has been choirmaster and conductor of the Patriarchal Choir of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior since 2009, and the artistic director and conductor of Eidos vocal ensemble since 2010.
He has been a soloist of the Studio of New Music ensemble since 2010.
He has performed lead parts in operas by Igor Stravinsky, Dmitri Kourliandski, Boris Filanovsky, Alexey Sioumak, Alexei Sysoyev, and Vladimir Rannev, and others.
As a soloist, he has performed with such groups as: the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra, the Studio of New Music orchestra, the New Russia Orchestra, TIMF Orchestra, Chamber Chorus of the Moscow Conservatory, the Moscow Conservatory Chorus, MACM, N'Caged ensemble, and Questa Musica ensemble.
From 2011 to 2014 was a soloist of the Boris Pevzner Choral Theatre. From 2012 to 2015 -he was the artistic director and conductor of the choir of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary. From 2013 to 2015, he taught at the Moscow State University of Culture.
