Alberts Alberts
Alberts Alberts graduated from the Vitrola Music Academy in Riga and later studied as a member of Gennady Abramov's Class of Expressive Plastic Movement in the School of Dramatic Art. With several colleages in 1997 he founded the PoV.S.Tantsy dance company. Together with Alexandra Konnikova he has staged numerous dance performances, including The Color Dreams of a White Donkey (Theatre of Nations), Past Continuous (with the Dialogue Dance company of Kostroma), and others.
As a choreographer in dramatic theatre, he was collaborated with Kirill Serebrennikov on Plasticine (Playwright and Director Center), Terrorism (Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre), Playing the Victim (Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre), The Forest (Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre), The Naked Pioneer (Sovremennik), The Sweet Bird of Youth (Sovremennik) and Some Explicit Polaroids (Pushkin Theatre); Yevgeny Pisarev on Lend Me a Tenor (Pushkin Theatre) and The Little Humpbacked Horse (Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre); Declan Donnellan on Much Ado About Nothing (Pushkin Theatre), and others. He has won numerous professional awards.
