Video Screening of My Generation
Stanislavsky Electrotheatre actors recite popular poems about the war and recite the memories of young women who fought on the front lines.
Lean and emotional, short and concise, these are the memories of participants and witnesses of the most terrible of all wars. It was a war where pain was intertwined with hope, joy with devastating grief, life with death. A war, in which peace was achieved at an incredibly high price.
Included are excerpts from Nobel Prize-winner Svetlana Alexievich’s book, The Unwomanly Face of War, poems by Olga Berggolts, Yulia Drunina, Semyon Gudzenko, Mikhail Kulchitsky, Bulat Okudzhava, Boris Slutsky, Konstantin Simonov, and one unknown author.
Cast: Yulia Abdel Fattah, Boris Dergachyov, Olga Zhuravlyova, Daria Kolpikova, Anton Kostochkin, Anton Lapenko, Dmitry Myagky, Anton Filipenko, Dmitry Chebotaryov.
On Victory Day the Stanislavsky Electrotheatre hosts two video screenings of this production in the foyer: at 7 and 8 p.m.
