Irina Sirotkina is a researcher of dance, performance and motor culture. She is the author of the books Free Movement and Plastic Dance in Russia, and The Sixth Sense of the Avant-Garde: Dance, Movement and Kinesthesia in the Life of Poets and Artists. She has developed and taught courses in “Fashion and Performance,” and “Dance and Motor Culture in History and Modernity."

Lyudmila Alyabyeva is the Academic Director of the Graduate School of Art and Design at the Higher School of Economics, the Head of the “Fashion Industry: Theories and Practices” master's program at the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences, and Editor-in-Chief of Fashion Theory: Clothing, Body, Culture, a journal.
