Angel of Death is the poetic text of a thinking artist written by Jan Fabre in 1996 with a dedication to choreographer William Forsythe and inspired by Andy Warhol. It emerged as the dramatic and conceptual basis of a multi-genre performance by Jan Fabre that explores the nature of the artist. On four screens arranged throughout the stage space, Forsythe dances. Performing live, Ivana Józyz joins with Forsythe in the video installation in a lively and tense dialogue of movement. Forsythe’s performance of Warrior of Beauty proclaims the idea of accepting oneself, one’s own dance, physiology and natural passion.
