Buddhism in Russia: From the Past to the Future, a popular science film.

This two-part saga begins in the 6th century in Altai and passes through the centuries, establishing the history of Russian Buddhism with its periods of flowering, forced decline and rebirth.
Over a 12-year period the film was shot in Primorye, Mongolia, Tuva, Buryatia, Kalmykia, Switzerland, Paris, Ladakh, St. Petersburg, Moscow and Samara.
It was created with the assistance of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
